Is the Porto vase suitable for fresh flowers with water, or is it only for dry decorations?
The Porto vase is primarily designed and optimized for dry flower arrangements or as a standalone decorative element. The PLA material from which the vase is made is not completely waterproof, and prolonged contact with water could cause material degradation or slight leakage. For fresh flowers, we recommend using a waterproof liner.
How does this vase differ from traditional glass vases in terms of material and maintenance?
Compared to glass vases, the PLA Porto vase is much lighter and more resistant to breakage, reducing the risk of damage if dropped. Glass is waterproof and easy to clean, while the PLA vase is best suited for dry decorations and requires gentler cleaning with a damp cloth without abrasive agents. Visually, PLA 3D printing offers unique textures that glass cannot replicate.
Can a PLA material vase withstand long-term outdoor conditions, such as on a balcony?
A PLA material vase is not intended for long-term outdoor use. PLA material is sensitive to UV radiation and high temperatures, which can cause color fading, deformation, or loss of strength. To preserve its aesthetic appearance and lifespan, we recommend placing the vase exclusively indoors, where it is protected from direct sunlight and extreme weather conditions.
