What materials are best for this vase and do their properties differ?
The vase is primarily printed from PLA or PETG filament. PLA is biodegradable and ideal for interiors, offering a wide range of colors and matte finishes. PETG is more resistant to mechanical damage and moisture, suitable for high-stress areas. Both materials are lightweight and easy to maintain.
Can I use this vase for live plants with water, or is it only for dry decoration?
This vase is primarily designed as a decorative accessory. For use with live plants and water, we recommend inserting a glass liner or a bag into the vase to prevent potential water leakage, as 3D prints may not always be 100% watertight.
Will the vase hold up well in direct sunlight or hot environments, such as a windowsill?
Products made from PLA material may slightly deform their shape when exposed to direct sunlight or high temperatures (above 60 °C) for prolonged periods. If you plan to place the vase in a very sunny spot, we recommend choosing the PETG filament variant, which is more temperature stable.
What is the load capacity and stability of this vase; can it hold a heavier pot, for example?
The vase is designed as a lightweight decorative accessory. Its construction provides sufficient stability for smaller plants or dry decorations. For placing heavy items or large pots, we recommend verifying that the total weight does not exceed the structural capacity and compromise stability.
Is it possible to repaint or re-color the vase if I want to customize it?
Yes, the surface of the vase can be repainted with acrylic paints or sprays designed for plastic surfaces. Before application, we recommend degreasing the surface and possibly lightly roughing it with fine sandpaper for better paint adhesion. This way, you can give the vase a unique look.
