What is the material of the Zenith planter and is it suitable for outdoor use?
The Zenith planter is printed from PLA filament, a biodegradable plastic mainly suitable for indoor use. PLA is not resistant to UV radiation and high temperatures, making it unsuitable for long-term outdoor placement in direct sunlight. For outdoor environments, we would recommend PETG material, which better withstands weathering.
Can I grow real plants in the planter?
Yes, the planter is designed for growing small plants like succulents or cacti. We recommend using a drainage layer at the bottom or placing the plant in a plastic pot directly inside to minimize direct water contact with the 3D printed material. This will help extend the planter's lifespan.
Does this planter differ from common ceramic vases?
The Zenith planter differs from ceramic vases primarily in its manufacturing technology and material. It is produced by 3D printing from PLA, which allows for complex geometric shapes difficult to achieve with ceramics. It is also lighter and more resistant to breakage than traditional ceramics. Ceramic vases, however, offer a different texture and traditional look.
